Numbers are in from New South Wales!

Another magnificent New South Wales Speedcar battalion has signed onto the upcoming 06/07 Speedcar Super Series headed up by last year’s chassis prize winner Mark Brown! Brown, this year steering the new Rondalee Metal Fabrication Aggressor/Hawk N11 machine will no doubt be looking to claim victory after spectacular battles saw him finish third overall in the 05/06 series point score.

“He (Brown) came up to me and said ‘Ken, just hand over the SSS Championship trophy now as it’s going to be mine’” said Ken Jenkins with a chuckle. “There’s no doubt Mark is going to be fired up for the win this year!”

Challenging for NSW leadership into the SSS is a vast line-up of talented Sydney racers. Last season’s TPCR Bikebiz Speedcar Track Champion Troy Jenkins is certainly expected to make his mark in the Chris Gardiner BOC Gases N2 Stealth/Fontana; as is Kiwi ex-pat Mark Cooper in the American Tires & Racing Services N7 Stealth/Mopar, who last year stepped out of his machine to allow US racer Jerry Coons Jnr take the ride to victory at TPCR SSS Round 5.

Two New South Wales SSS newcomers have joined the field being Paul Rinkin in the National Warranty N69 and the immaculate Showpiece Signs N65 Stealth steered by Brendon Fox of Litre Sprint fame, both of which are raring to go.

Rounding out the final contenders are three of Sydney’s hardest chargers; Nathan Smee in his new N6 Stealth/Dominator Engines Fontana who has already secured a feature win this season; Matt Young in the Rinkin Motorsports Swarfega N67 (quick time winner in SSS Round 6 last season); and Carline Muffler’s own Peter Bourke, who makes a welcome return to driving duties of the Stealth/Esslinger N21. These three are no strangers to the highline or the podium and are sure to impress even the harshest of race critics across the country!

With the first round at Murray Bridge South Australia drawing nearer (28th October), followed by Mildura and Avalon Victoria within a few short weeks; speedway fans prepare for some of the closest and most exhilarating wheel-to-wheel action ever seen. The wild and wingless mighty midgets are heading your way and nothing will slow them down!
