Batten down the hatches Toowoomba! Australia’s best Speedcar competitors are racing into Charlton Raceway on Saturday 20th January to battle it out for over $10,000 in round five of the six-round national Stealth Motorsports Speedcar Super Series before fighting it out for the Hutchinson Builder’s Australian Speedcar Championship a week later in what’s being touted as Toowoomba’s Speedcar Speed Week!

Leading the Speedcar charge and top of the series championship ladder is West Australian campaigner Neville Lance, who took home the trophy at round three in Avalon Victoria; ahead of current NSW Speedcar Champion Mark ‘Browndog’ Brown who took out round four in Gilgandra NSW; West Aussie young-gun Dene McAllan, winner of round two’s Mildura Victoria event and Sydney’s Troy Jenkins rounding out the top four after a unbelievable race win at Murray Bridge SA for round one.

“Each round so far has been an unbelievable spectacle” said series Director, Ken Jenkins. “Murray Bridge in South Australia was a 3-way battle for the lead which ultimately came down to the wire with Troy Jenkins taking the win for NSW. Then the West Australian’s came back in the next two rounds with Neville and Dene taking the wins; before Browndog hammered it home at Gilgandra in December! It’s just been fantastic racing at every round and Toowoomba will be no different!”

Indeed will the interstate challengers from throughout New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and West Australia be able to fight their way past the local Queensland hard-chargers?

“We’ve held four rounds since late October in Murray Bridge SA, Mildura VIC, Avalon VIC and Gilgandra NSW; and the winner has changed every single time!” says Jenkins. “I can’t pick a winner at Charlton Raceway but I can guarantee one thing – who ever wins the show will have certainly have earned their placing!”

COMPETITOR INFO:

Nomination monies ($50 per non-contracted driver) must be paid prior to drivers participating in the Time Trial draw or taking the race car onto the track. Compulsory drivers briefing at 4.30pm. Cars must be on the track for engine starts and wheel packing no later than 5.30pm. Speedcars will hot lap as per group allocated at drivers briefing, no swapping hot lap groups.

The R Rear tyre will be a branded 26.12.13 SD38b from American Race Tires.
 

STEALTH RULE:

Every competitor at every race track must display two Stealth logo decals (supplied by SSS officials); one on each down tube.
